In the official trailer for Gimme Danger, we're taken to an undisclosed location where Jim Osterberg (Iggy Pop) is about to discuss his band The Stooges, a.k.a. "the greatest rock-n-roll band ever."

As the trailer rolls on, different members of the band chime in on how The Stooges reinvented rock music and how they functioned as an entity. It's said that the band lived in a communal house, shared money and also shared authorship once they started writing songs. Bandmates also discuss how they were left to their own devices without adult supervision, how they upset people wherever they went and how Jim never wanted to be part of the punk scene or classified in any other way. He just wanted to be.
