In the official trailer for The Lost City of Z, Col. Percival Fawcett (Charlie Hunnam) is seated at a table across from a fortune teller. She asks for his hand and says he dreams of being in a forest. He replies, "I wish to find a Lost City." The two are surrounded by young men in uniforms.

As the trailer continues, we watch as Percival says goodbye to his loved ones and embarks on a venture up the Amazon River. He seeks to find a hidden civilization, a.k.a. the Lost City. On his voyage, he encounters resistance from those who dwell in the jungle. They fire arrows at him and he's advised to abort the mission, but he persists.
