In the premiere trailer for Kiss & Cry, beautiful 18-year-old Carley reflects on her motto in life — "always, always smile, and always find a reason to be happy." And she does, in any every day activity, from skating to singing karaoke with her friends. She's even happier when she meets the cute and witty John (Luke Bilyk) at a party. But just when life seems to be perfect, Carley suddenly falls out of breath while training with her coach. After a test of her inexplicable physical failures, she discovers that she has a rare form of sarcoma. However, Carley, the ultimate optimist, does not let this get her down and uses her illness as inspiration to live her life even more gleefully than before.
