In the official trailer for Bastards, fraternal twins Kyle (Owen Wilson) and Peter (Ed Helms) are on their way to their mother Helen's wedding when they pick up a random hitchhiker, after making sure he's not a serial killer. At the wedding, Helen tells the brothers she made up the story about their father dying from colon cancer, and that she isn't sure who he is. The two make a plan to find him, and go through a list of potential fathers, including former football quarterback Terry Bradshaw, and a man named Roland Hunt (J.K. Simmons), who insists there's no way they're his sons. There are clips of their crazy road trip, as Helen tells them to stop their search because their father's identity is irrelevant.
