In the premiere trailer for Edge of Seventeen, high schooler Nadine (Hailee Steinfeld) casually walks into a classroom to tell her history teacher (Woody Harrelson) that she is going to kill herself. Expecting a certain response, Nadine is shocked to discover that her teacher just doesn't care. Unfortunately, this is Nadine's life — invisible to everyone except for her best friend Krista (Haley Lu Richardson). That is, until she discovers Krista is sleeping with her ultra-popular older brother Darian (Blake Jenner). Now Nadine must reconcile her new life without her best friend, and finally force herself to become a person worth seeing.
