In 1980s France, Aram, a young man of Armenian origin living in Marseillais joins in the violent struggle of his people to remind the world of the genocide they suffered at the beginning of the century. But while blowing up the Turkish ambassador’s car in Paris, Aram accidentally injures cyclist Gilles Tessier, a young medical student. Although plagued by guilt, Aram leaves to join Beirut's Armenian Liberation Army.
Meanwhile, Anouch, the mother of the terrorist, goes to Gilles’ hospital room to ask forgiveness for the actions taken by her son. The young man, crippled for life, wants to understand Aram’s motivations, and asks if Anouch could arrange a meeting with him.
