Join comedians Dave Clarke and Jeff Page for a Turkey Shoot party celebrating
Battlefield Earth, which
The New York Times said "may well turn out to be the worst movie of the century". (They were talking about the 21st century, not the 20th.) Fans of the source novel (which is okay) will barely recognize
John Travolta's film adaptation, which only covers the first half of the novel. (Really, the book's not bad.) And if you loved
Forest Whitaker in
Ghost Dog and
The Last King of Scotland, you'll be confused about his decision to star in this film. Community service, perhaps? And the cinematography? In the words of
Roger Ebert, "the director,
Roger Christian, has learned from better films that directors sometimes tilt their cameras, but he has not learned why."
Turkey Shoot will bring together a crack team of comedians to annotate this gloriously bad film, and will also feature trailers, shorts, trivia games and other surprises.
