Peter Lindholm's psychological drama Kolmistaan observes the emotional trials and complications that plague the marriage of Tomi Laakso (Kari-Pekka Toivonen) when he unwittingly falls into the middle of a romantic triangle.

Tomi falls deeply in love with Janita (Matleena Kuusniemi), which understandably infuriates, confuses and alienates his wife of many years, Maria (Liisa Kuoppamäki). Maria must begin to take the steps necessary to work through her many conflicting emotions and come to terms with the depth of love that she still carries for her husband.
