As Jane Parker (Bo Derek) visits her father James (Richard Harris) in Africa and accompanies him on an expedition, she encounters Tarzan (Miles O'Keeffe). Jane and Tarzan quickly become infatuated with each other and a powerful sexual connection begins to stir.

When the expedition is overtaken by rain forest dwellers and Jane is kidnapped, Tarzan leaps into motion in an effort to rescue her.
