Although their music is famous, their names are unknown. Within the business, they are known as the Funk Brothers, and they consist of some of the best musicians in the business. They played music on hundreds of Motown hits, backing up legendary performers such as Diana Ross and the Supremes, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and Smokey Robinson. They played on more #1 records than the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Elvis and the Beach Boys combined. Years later, they joined up to tell their story and play music together once again, combined with exclusive interviews, archival footage and re-enactments.

Narrated by Andre Braugher.
