Scarred Justice: The Orangeburg Massacre 1968 Movie Poster

The tragic 1970 Kent State shootings are known to all, but an equally devastating event that occurred two years earlier has been all but lost to history.

In early 1968, black college students protesting segregation in their South Carolina town were fired upon by police, killing three and wounding 27. "Scarred Justice" meticulously examines both sides of the controversy, including the efforts of state officials to blame the tragedy on "outside agitators," and the 35-year struggle of the victims' families to reopen the investigation.
