Four 16-year-old girlfriends—Aria, Hanna, Spencer and Emily—are forced to deal with the aftermath of their friend Alison's mysterious death. Soon after her disappearance, the girls begin receiving text messages from someone named "A" who seems to know all of their deepest darkest secrets and is threatening to expose them all.
In season two, "A" continues to torment the girls, causing everyone in the small town of Rosewood to question just how innocent they really are.
