Fikir Siferd
Fikir Siferd is the second work by Theodros Teshome which premiered on January 6, 2005 in Addis Abeba. It is about parents’ wishes for their children on one side and the children’s own uncontrollable urge on the other. Detective Inspector Ali meets Joana because of a traffic violation.
When she tries to bribe him, forcefully, he takes her to the police station. Yigezu, her father, is a very rich and strong man whose two daughters are his whole world. He advises Joana to marry an educated and well-behaved man but she disregards his usual warning and adores the detective.
Her father goes to great length to get the detective out of his daughter’s life but Ali promises himself to do whatever it takes to keep his love. FIKIR SIFERD brings to light the concealed when real love passes its final judgment. Amharic with English subtitles.
