Just like Jim Carrey in The Truman Show, McConaughey plays Ed, a character whose life is being broadcast on TV 24 hours a day. Difference is, Ed knows it and likes it. His mom's a little worried about the unwanted attention and how the family's going to come off on TV, but Ed's loving every minute of his new-found fame.
