Dark Blue World
At a Czechoslovakian airbase in 1939, Franta (Vetchý) is a dashing commander in charge of fledgling cadets. When the Germans invade the country, Franta and one of his protégés -- the fresh-faced Karel (Hádek) -- flee for England. Bonding like father and son, they join the Royal Armed Forces, learn English, and prove themselves in the air. But their friendship faces the ultimate test, when Franta and Karel fall for the same English woman (Fitzgerald).
