Buenos Aires, 1979. Juan, 12, and his parents, left-wing activists belonging to the Montoneros Organization, return to Buenos Aires under fake identities after three years of exile in Cuba. Renamed Ernesto, he’s propelled into a daily life resembling any normal boy his age. His parents and his uncle Beto continue their covert militant operations, fighting against the Military Junta that rules the country. Juan makes friends and develops a crush on Maria, the sister of a classmate, but despite the efforts of his vigilant parents, the safety of the family, including Juan and his baby sister, are compromised by the many indiscretions of Beto.
