B is a wild and beautiful young girl, known as Beatrice to all but the criminal element she hangs around with. When Alan, a passionate and romantic young schoolteacher falls head over heels in love with her, B's dreams of escaping the criminal world and life on the edge become possible. For an idyllic few months, the two lovers cling to the belief that a fresh start is possible—until B's past starts to catch up to her.
